- How do I size a Galvi drum brake?
- Sizing is driven by required braking torque, drum diameter on the drive shaft, ambient temperature and duty cycle. Our engineers can size the brake from your motor power, gearbox ratio and required deceleration.
- What is the difference between AC and DC thruster brakes?
- AC thrusters (most common in Galvi range) use an oil-immersed impeller to lift the brake. DC thrusters give a faster response and are used where braking time is critical.
- Do you supply replacement brake linings?
- Yes — full lining sets for every Galvi drum size are available, including high-temperature compounds for steel and cement plant duty.
